The twelve archetypes test

Twenty-six short questions, about five minutes. Rate each statement from not me to so me. At the end you'll see how strongly each of the twelve archetypes shows up in you, what your leading one means, and what to work on.

Where the twelve come from

Carl Jung described archetypes as patterns every person carries: characters that show up in our dreams, our stories and our choices. Psychologists Carol S. Pearson and Hugh K. Marr built on his work and created the Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator (PMAI), a questionnaire used in career guidance, therapy, and brand strategy.

Their idea: at different times in life, different archetypes take the lead. The twelve fall into four groups, depending on what drives you most.

Stability
The Creator, the Caregiver, the Ruler. You want to build something solid and take care of it.
Change
The Rebel, the Magician, the Hero. You want to leave a mark and change what isn't working.
Belonging
The Everyman, the Lover, the Jester. You want closeness, warmth and your people around you.
Discovery
The Innocent, the Explorer, the Sage. You want freedom, meaning and the truth about how things work.

Our test is inspired by this model. It isn't the official PMAI, and it's a tool for self-reflection, not a diagnosis.
